SESSION 3: LEVERAGING ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE (AI) FOR RESEARCH ADVANCEMENT

This session will examine the increasing importance Artificial Intelligence plays in developing scholarly communications and content development, including its use in developing Open Access Books and facilitating the establishment of TETFund Academic Publishing Centres (APCs).

OBJECTIVES: Showcase successfully produced Open Access Books and a demonstration of an AI tool that can be used for Scholarly Communication.

OUTCOMES: Promote the benefits of locally produced content and OA Books; Establish a network or community of Eko-Konnect users committed to training and using OA Books publishing platform. Stimulate wider interest in the use of AI within scholarly communications practice.
