SESSION 1: COLLABORATIVE PLATFORMS FOR RESEARCH AND KNOWLEDGE EXCHANGE
The need to properly utilise collaborative platforms to expose the scholarly and research work undertaken within Nigerian tertiary institutions is of prime importance. The session will look at the various Institutional Repositories and publishing platforms that are open-source software and the development of Indigenous publishing platforms that can be adopted or improved to enhance collaborations and knowledge exchange locally and globally. Cost-effective ways that our community can embrace such platforms will be highlighted through available shared services.
OBJECTIVES: Demonstrating the benefits of Open Access Repositories and locally available publishing platforms.
EXPECTED OUTCOMES: Adoption of Open Access Repositories and local Journal Publishing platforms by institutions. Adoption of shared services platforms for institutions with no infrastructure. Establishing a community of users, particularly for shared services
